The Aviation Manpower and Support Branch (ASM) ensures integration and increased collaboration with fellow HQMC Deputy Commandants and Staff Agencies. The Manpower Analysis Cell (ASM-31) focuses on aviation manpower plans to include the health of all aviation communities, aviation bonuses, and monitoring manpower inventories. They work directly with Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA) to ensure the current and future success of aviation officer and enlisted manning. The Aircrew Programs Section administers aircrew performance and suitability boards and oversees Marine aircrews assigned to inter-service and international exchange programs (ASM-52). The Aircrew Programs Section is also responsible for reviewing, processing, and publishing age, medical, and ASTB waivers (ASM-51). The Air Support and Coordination Office (ASCO) oversees approval and management of Operational Support Aircraft (OSA) tasking and flight approvals. The Aviation Administration Branch (AAB) provides efficient and timely administrative support to the DC Aviation front office and department branches and manages department Internet Technology (IT) systems and programs.
